Description: The renovation of a century-old industrial building into dorms for the Art Academy of Cincinnati involved extensive structural stabilization and reinforcement. Notably, re-supporting the exterior masonry bearing walls was a key challenge, addressing structural deficiencies in collaboration with Urban Sites Construction. The project showcases diverse material expertise, including historic masonry, new masonry, wood, steel, and concrete. The project's excellence in rehabilitation earned it the 2020 Cincinnati Preservation Association Rehabilitation award, and it is LEED Certified.
